From Bozeman, head west on Main St. (Highway 191) and turn left at Four Corners. Bozeman Hot Springs is an eighth of a mile down on your right.

A new, modern hot spring resort in a beautiful setting

Yellowstone Hot Springs sits near the banks of the Yellowstone River nestled between the Absaroka and Gallatin Ranges, just 10 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. The grounds were torn down and reconstructed in 2018 and reopened in 2019.

All of the on-site amenities are new, and the layout of the pools is spectacular, with multiple pools to choose from.

One main pool is attached to small side pools, all of which are heated to 102°F (39°C). Fresh mineral water constantly cycles in and out of the pools from morning to night, ensuring fresh water in the pools at all times.

6. Boiling River Hot Springs

Hot water from a nearby spring mixes with cool creek water, making for a pleasant water temperature to bathe in. Water from the source emerges at 140°F (60°C).

Because the water mixes with the creek water, the temperature in the soaking areas fluctuates.

Boiling River Hot Springs lies beyond Paradise Valley in Wyoming, just 20 minutes south of Gardiner on the North Entrance Road.

It’s not as close to Bozeman as Norris or Bozeman Hot Springs are, but it’s about 1.5 hours away, which is still close enough to make a day trip out of it.

Parking is on either side of the North Entrance Road.

A wild, natural hot spring near Bozeman, Montana, with beautiful views

Natural geothermally-heated waters from the Boiling River flow into and mix with the waters of the Gardner River, creating perfect temperatures along the banks of the Gardner River.

It’s located within Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, in a beautiful setting that offers 360° views of the surrounding Gallatin Range.

The pool

Handmade retaining walls made from stacked rocks trap the hot water along the banks of the Gardner River, separating it from the main river current.

Cold and warm water flows through the cracks causing temperature fluctuations, but overall the temperature remains steady and pleasant.
